The Sea
by Chloe Davies (Year 5)

One day a little girl called Mollie was very excited because she was going to the seaside and was going to stay there for a week with her mum. When they got there Mollie stood for a moment.  Then she ran down to the wooden decking and down the sand dunes and on to the sand. Her best friend Rosie was waiting for her at the bottom.  They both ran down to the shore and they played a few games called ‘Sharks’, ‘Volley Ball’ and ‘Ashes’.
They spent a lot of time in the sea until Rosie said, "Oh, Mollie you’re a mermaid." As Mollie looked down she saw her gleaming and sparkling tail had become visible. "Oh no, that’s not good!" Mollie screamed. Mollie swam up to an island and her tail appeared to be fading away. "That was a relief,” sighed Mollie. The night came and Mollie's mum called out, "Bed time Mollie, hurry up!" Mollie swam up to the surface and then to her mum and gave her a big hug. They both went inside and put on their pyjamas and snuggled in tight and fell fast asleep. That night Mollie had a dream that she had to make a choice, to give up her mermaid powers or stay a mermaid and live in the sea forever. "Ahhhh!" cried Mollie, as she woke up with a fright. "Are you ok Mollie?" Mum was concerned. Mollie replied, "Yes mum I’m just fine." So they both went back to sleep.
In the morning Mollie threw off her bed covers and got dressed. She ran into the sea and soaked herself through. Her tail was showing now and some children were starting to wake up so Mollie plunged into the sea and hid. "Wow, look at that girl she's a mermaid!" One child exclaimed.
This news made lots of children crowd around the big rock that Mollie was hiding behind. "Away, now all of you, there’s nothing to see here!” Well that was close. Mollie breathed a sigh of relief.
The day was coming to an end; it was nearly 6 o’ clock.  "Rosie, time to come in,” Mum called. "Ok Mum, I’m coming,” replied Mollie.
That night Rosie had the same dream as Mollie and woke up in the same way as Mollie did. "That’s strange, I’m not a mermaid,” Rosie said disappointingly. The morning came and the same thing happened again.

 The Sea
By Enya Morgan and Isabelle Thomas (Year 5)
One sunny afternoon a little girl named Jessie, who lived with her brother Edward, mother Rebecca and her father EJ, were moving house.  Jessie was sad that they were moving because she thought that she would not make friends with other people.  She loved their home. The dreaded day came and the family were all packed, ready to leave. Jessie and Edward were in the car while their mother and father were locking up.
It took two hours to get to their new home. Jessie and Edward were very tired so they took to their beds. They went to sleep for thirty minutes and then they had to help their parents to unpack. Once they had finished unpacking they decided to visit the seaside as they lived quite close by. The weather was very hot.
It was 7 o'clock and Jessie and Edward were still at the seaside and they were having so much fun, but then a mysterious thing happened. A group of sea shells with eyes and mouths appeared forming a line for Jessie to follow; she wandered what it would lead to. Next came the most exciting moment of her life, she saw mermaids sitting on a rock.  They were multi-coloured.  It was beautiful the way that their tails glimmered in the moonlight.
Soon after Jessie approached them and asked, “Hello, will you hurt me and my family?"
“No.” replied a mermaid as she slowly moved closer and closer.
Suddenly, one of the mermaids named Emerald and her friend Pearl the dolphin, appeared and said there was danger coming right their way so they had to go, but then Jessie said, "Wait I want to come with you."
Emerald said, "Quick, drink this potion and then swim."
"But I can’t swim," moaned Jessie and Emerald smiled and said, "That is why I’m giving you the potion.”  So Jessie drank the potion quickly and suddenly a green, scaly mermaid tail appeared where her legs once were. Edward was so shocked he was lost for words, so instead of going inside he decided to play with the talking shells and crabs.

As soon as the group of mermaids left with Jessie a vast pirate boat appeared in the distance and took Edward aboard.  The chief pirate Captain Flynn, the nastiest of all, said, "Where are the mermaids?"
"I don’t know where they are," said Edward, cowering in fear. The mean Captain Flynn shouted, "Walk the plank!” Edward begged, "No, I want to be a pirate too, arrghh!!!"
Edward ran away to try to find Jessie and when he got back he yelled, "Arrghh, me hearties!"
But then Captain Flynn, using his telescope, shouted, “I’ve spotted the mermaids, over there, near the lagoon!” The ship tried to get near the mermaids but they were too quick and swam away. The last glimpse Jessie took was of her brother Edward, being captured by Captain Flynn and having his hands tied behind his back. Jessie cried and tried to swim nearer to save Edward who was now walking the plank.

The next thing Jessie could hear was her dad’s voice whispering, "Jessie, wake up, wake up," and her eyes opened and her adventure had only been a dream.

The Sea
 by Mollie Williams (Year 5)
On a beautiful day a family of four moved to a beach cabin on a beach called Shelly's Seaside.  They heard that this beach was a magical beach and that secrets need to be untold. So once they settled down, the two children made their way down to the beach.  It was full of people sunbathing and splashing in the rock pools. The eldest child Rally, who loved reading and learning about sea, loved the mythical creatures ‘mermaids’. Her sister Tammy on the other hand loved pirates, swordfish and throwing sand at her sister.  Of course Rally would not go anywhere near her sister on the beach. Suddenly all the people ran from the sea and sand to their houses and cars and started screaming.  One man said, "Run, run for your life!  It’s the revenge of the pirate Captain Scully and Lutia the mermaid! RUN!”

Tammy and Rally heard the words mermaid and pirate so they ran until they saw a ghost ship and loads of splashes in the water, so they started running back but the mermaid and the pirate grabbed them and took them to the water.  They pulled the children down to the water; they nearly drowned! Then in the deep smoke a golden shell came into view.
The sisters were about to grab the shell but the pirate and the mermaid pushed them away. Lutia the mermaid said, "You will never, ever snatch the lost shell, it belongs to our sister Shelly, yes this is her beach, she used to have this shell, our father gave it to her before he died, but a couple of weeks later she died too and because she did not pass on the shell to us it's lost and we are going to find it - not you!".
“Well, what happened to you two then?" asked Rally.
Lutia replied, "We turned up like this because of a sea witch, we asked her to find the shell so she gave us a map. We followed the map to a cove named Seabys cove but a terrible curse was inside the cove.  We did not know, so we ran to the shell and grabbed it, but it disappeared.  We suddenly started changing to sea creatures. We were blown to the sea, dropped into the water and turned in to a pirate and mermaid so every year we would haunt the beach and scare the people away.”
“That’s mean!" blurted out Tammy.
"Shhh Tam, when they’re not looking I will take the shell, you just go back to the house to tell Mum and Dad not to worry.  I will be okay!" said Rally, who was shaking with nerves.
Tammy ran as fast as she could home to tell her mum and dad but still on the beach Rally was shaking and she was so scared. Then, as the creatures turned around, she grabbed the shell and ran so fast that she did not care that her flip-flops fell off. As she got in the house she slammed the front door and just grabbed the ice-cream out of her Mum’s hand. The next day she set up a lemonade stand and an ice-cream cart on the side of the beach. Rally and Tammy were proud for what they had done so they threw a party for everyone on the beach. They had a barbeque, ice-cream and some music. They all soon made friends with some girls called Callie, Missy, Mason and Lianne. They had a lot of fun!

The Sea
by Jasmine Treharne (Year 5)
Once upon a time there was a mother called Jessica and her two children Claire and Megan. They loved to go to the sea every day. One day Claire and Megan wanted to go swimming in the sea and their mother said, "Claire, you are eighteen years old and Megan is only five years old so you are going to have to take her with you, okay".
"Ok mummy, bye.” replied Claire.
It took them fifteen minutes to get to the sea but they finally got there. They swam in the sea for quite a while and Megan had a float to help her swim. They had a great time but soon it was time to go home.
"Megan, it is time to go home and mummy is cooking dinner,” Chloe said.
"Ok Claire.” Megan answered.
When they got home they asked their mother what was for dinner and Mum said, “Peas, Yorkshire pudding, carrots, potatoes and stuffing.”   They had quite a busy day; they were very tired so they decided to go to bed.
The next day they went to the sea to swim again but they saw something very strange; it was a mermaid. They went up to her and said, "What’s your name?”
"My name is Sophia,” responded the mermaid.
"What a beautiful name Sophia.  My name is Claire and this is my sister Megan.”
"Megan and Claire, what lovely names.” Sophia smiled.
"We have got to go home Megan, mummy is cooking food.”
"Goodbye Megan and Claire.  See you soon.”
"Mummy, we’re home, sorry we’re a little late,” apologised Claire.
"Where have you been? Your food has been ready a while.  You have bacon, beans and toast.”
"Lush, I love that food!" said Megan excitedly. Not long after supper they all had an early night and went to bed.
The next day Megan and Claire rushed down to swim in the sea again to find Sophia but they could not find her. Suddenly she came out of nowhere. Megan then asked, "Sophia, are you magic?"
Sophia replied, "Do not tell anyone but I am magic.”
"Cool. Can you make us mermaids too?” asked Megan.
"Yes, but I will give you a necklace so you can change from a human to a mermaid, so that you can visit us at any time you want.” replied Sophia.
"Goodbye Sophia.” whispered Claire and Megan.
"Goodbye Megan and Claire!” shouted Sophia.
Finally after their exiting adventure they went home.

 Treasure Turtle
  by Carla Canlin (Year 6)

It is forty years later than my story. It is 2053.
Forty years ago, something astonishing happened. So I will tell you my story.
I was at the beach, when all of a sudden I saw something green in the distance. I approached towards it, when I saw it was a turtle. I decided to follow it. After five minutes later it stopped on a small lump. So I dug it up and I saw a pretty gold pebble with a silver cross and a green jewel. I grabbed it and the turtle and I sprinted home.
The next day I took it to the local museum. The man read the code on the back of the pebble and it said that it cost millions. He said he would keep it at the museum until I was older and I could take it home.
I called the turtle G.S.G.P. and put it in the Turtle Sanctuary : put together with the money I got from the pebble. It’s been sat in my glass cabinet for years, but I decided to carve the jewel out of the pebble. I went to a jeweller and he made a necklace for me.
I took it to the beach and buried it where I found the pebble. So that one day somebody would find it. Maybe it could be you!................................

Beach Adventure
  by Bethany Wisdom (Year 6)

"Wake up, sleepy head." Mum walked into my room and pulled open the curtains. I groaned as light flooded into my room. What normal person wakes up at half six in the morning?! I thought.
"Don, get up!" exclaimed Mum. "I want to get an early start."
"Why?" I protested, sitting up and eyeing the tray full of breakfast that my mum had brought me.
"You're going to the beach. It would be nice for Emma to go and explore with you." She sat down on the edge of my bed and watched me eat. I sighed as I remembered my snobby cousin who had come to stay with us while her parents were away for a month.
"I'm not taking her anywhere!" I declared.
"Please darling." Mum tried to convince me. "I have to stay here and do the washing." I thought about the huge mountains of washing that came to Mum's launderette each week. She usually sacrificed Saturday mornings to wash it all.
"OK." I said. I knew that it would be boring at home and in the end Mum would just ask us to stop and help. There was no chance of me stopping and helping!
"Be quick." Mum said. "Emma's getting ready."
This was going to be one long morning.
I stood on the pale golden sand, watching the aqua waves gallop up the beach. My hair blew wildly around in the wind.
"Don!" I was interrupted by Emma, who walked over to me and grabbed my arm. Her neat, French nails dug into my skin. I flinched and pulled my arm away. "Donna, look at that cave!" She pointed to a dark, deep, looming void on the other side of the beach.
"Cool." I replied and carried on looking out to sea.
"Let's go in." she said, as if she was commanding me to do it.
"I don't think that's such a good idea. Nobody's ever been in there."
"Well I'll be the first." She started off in the direction of the cave.
"Don't!" I shouted. It was too late. She couldn't hear me. I had no choice but to race after her...
"Help!" The water was up to my ankles.
"Someone help us!" cried Emma. We clambered higher up the rock face. We were in the cave, but the tide had come in and we were trapped. Completely and utterly trapped. I sat on a flat rock and wondered how long we had to live. Probably about fifteen minuets, I decided. I turned to Emma. I gasped in disbelief. For the first time, Emma, my snobby, heartless cousin, was crying. Crying! The water was now up to my waist.
"Help! We're in here!" I screamed until my throat was raw. By the time the water had reached my chin, I was also on the verge of tears.
But then I heard a noise. A splashing. And it was getting closer! Suddenly, a man appeared and told us not to worry, that he was going to get us out of here. "Take a deep breath." He commanded. We swam out through a hole they had made in the stone. For a few minutes, I lay on the sand, gasping for breath. And then Emma walked up to me. "I'm sorry about the way I treated you." she said.
"It's OK." was all I could say. We've been best friends ever since.

My Story
By Ebony Dermody (Year 6)
One day in spring, me and my family went down Cardigan to spend a couple of weeks but me and Sam had heard rumours about the farmhouse we were staying in. Once we got to the farmhouse we started searching everywhere to see if we could find any clues but we couldn't so, we just left it for another day.
Meanwhile outside, our parents were unloading the car, when all of a sudden it turned to night. Me and Sam bounded inside but when we reached the front door we saw strange looking statues in the hall with their ghostly pale hands poking out of strange looking cloaks around their shoulders. I screamed as Sam started moving towards the four statues. I ran towards him to pull him back but as soon as I touched him I too was being pulled towards the four strange people, mesmerised by their beauty.
We woke up as a small beam of sunlight streamed into the dark room. When we got dressed a bolt of adrenaline shot through us because we knew that today was Easter, but we weren't in our bedroom, we were in the Devils Lair. We were so scared we didn't know or  see the four statues come behind us. I could feel their cold breath on my neck so I swiftly turned around whipping Sam with me.
The statues weren't what me and Sam thought they were. Their faces looked as though they were in pain.
"Hello Ebony and Sam." whispered the tallest one in a blood chilling voice.
"Hello." I answered my voice breaking.
"Where are we?" asked Sam,
"Why you’re in Wonderland!" answered the small blonde girl.
Our faces were so shocked the statues had to shake us in a threatening way.
"Wait so if we're in Wonderland what are you meant to be?" shouted Sam.
"Why you don't recognise us. Surely our skin gives it away?" answered the smallest statue.
"Sam come here a second I know who they are. They are the ghosts that died here over a thousand years ago. I'd recognise them anywhere." I told Sam.
The next day we went down Mwnt which is a beach and we went body-boarding. I smashed the record and the reward was that me and my family get FREE stuff.
We couldn't walk because our arms were weighed down by the weight of the FREE stuff.

Seaside Day!
By Kaitlyn Thomas (Year 6)
One summer's morning Rosie was in her bed sleeping then her brother Toby woke her up "Rosie wake up, wake up!"
"What now Toby?"
"Mum and dad are taking us to the seaside because its a nice day."
Rosie got out of her bunk-bed and slipped her slippers on and raced into her mum and dad's room, but no-one was in there, only Rosie's dog Pixie who was having a snooze on the beanbag. So Rosie ran down the stairs and went into the kitchen and saw her mum packing bread rolls, burger buns, hot dogs, burgers, lemonade, plastic cups and the old BBQ. Her dad was packing up beach towels, swim suits, beach umbrellas, deck chairs, Toby and Rosie's surf boards and wind brakes.
"Rosie get dressed because it's time to go." said Rosie's mum.
Rosie got dressed quickly and they set off, it was 12:30pm when they arrived, they all got out of the car and went for a stroll down the beach, after half an hour of walking across the beach they found a good spot for them to lay down their things. While Rosie's mum and dad were setting up, Rosie and Toby changed into their swimsuits and went for a paddle and went on their surf boards for a while. After that they ate burgers and hot dogs and drank lots of lemonade and had some ice-cream from the shop near by. Then it was time to leave.

The seaside
By April Thomas (Year 3)

One beautiful summer's morning  my mum told me that we were going to the seaside.  On the journey my belly felt tickly. When we arrived at the seaside I saw an ice-cream van.  I had a mint ice-cream. The mint ice-cream was minty and it had chocolate drops in it.  I asked if I could swim with a dolphin.  The lady said, "Yes."  I was so excited that I screamed, "Thank you!" at her.
Meanwhile, after that I went on a boat trip.  I saw the waves crashing together. The seaweed was floating in the salty sea.  The sun was glazing on the wet salty sea.  I was sitting down on the soft lumpy burning sand with the sun blazing down on me.  I looked above me and I saw the pink fluffy clouds floating in the calm blue sky.  I heard the cold blowing wind.  My mammy and I played ball.
After that, I went back in the sea and I saw a mermaid with a colourful tail.  I said, "Hello," to her.  "What's your name?" she asked.
"My name is April. What's your name?"
"My name is Lily."
I had a swim with her. I saw crabs and fish. Lily took me deep in the damp salty sea. Lily took me to mermaid world she showed me around. I felt excited. In mermaid world there's a tail shop and a magical castle.
They all lived happily ever after.

The Seaside
By Shauna Brown (Year 5)

One summery afternoon there lived a beautiful, intelligent girl called Ella. She was 15 years old. She was just about to go to the seaside with her friends. Their names were Mollie , Ally, Ffion and Elizabeth. Ffion went to get ice cream for the girls. Ally said “She’s  coming back now with our ice creams."
Mollie said “I hope its our favourite kinds."
The golden sunshine shone on them.
Elizabeth said “Look at those tiny crabs. The seagulls look beautiful in the bright blue sky, don't they girls?”
“Yes they do!  Shall we build a sandcastle or go swimming in the sea.”
“Let’s go to the sea. Ahh! The waves are so big,. Ahh! They are gigantic now.”
The lifeguards were keeping a close eye for danger to happen. Then a boy in the sea got unconscious. He felt dizzy and then he fainted. The lifeguards quickly got him in the ambulance.
Then there was a shark on the loose. The lifeguards were getting furious. Oh no! The shark was coming to the shore.
“Lets get out of the sea!” Simultaneously, the lifeguards were trying to kill the shark and everyone on the beach were terrified. Then, finally, they killed the shark.
“What time is it?"
“It is 6:30.”
So the girls went home.
Ella's mother asked “How was the seaside to day?"
Ella said “It was very interesting."
“Oh right.”
The golden sun still shone on the five girls. They felt like shiny stars and that is the story about the seaside.

"Are you ok?"  asked Messi .
"Yes!" she said.

"Dad the party was awesome!! Messi asked me to marry him. I said YES!"
"When is the wedding gonna be?" asked Robin Van Persie.
“In two weeks" replied Selena.
Soon it was the wedding day and they were married. Some months later they had a baby and they had a sea-horse. It was a girl named Ashley.

The sea
By Scarlett, Jude, Shane Aimee (Year 4)

One sunny morning in a land called Coral Ocean there lived a girl called Chez. She loved the ocean and all the beautiful creatures around her. But there were very EVIL creatures around like sharks, killer whales and lobsters that ate trespassers.
So the journey began with all her Ocean friends. First they landed in the peaceful land of dolphins where they met Bubbles and Splashy, the two most beautiful creatures Chez had seen in her life. She was fascinated by the wonderful creatures around her.
"Hello"said Chez. What a beautiful land you have. I was just passing, running away from the deadly lobster, terrifying  sharks and the two killer whales.”
"Don't be afraid. This land is out of bounds for terrible creatures like them."
said Bubbles.
"We should be going now."
So they said their goodbyes and went to carry on their journey. They walked on and saw a forest in front of them. It was the starfish forest. So, they finally approached the starfish forest. They walked into the Starfish Forest .
"Wow! Look at those wonderful animals around us. They’re twinkling with sparkles."
They were everywhere, up high and down low. It was amazing to see animals like that. She couldn't believe her eyes. It was a magical moment. They passed through the starfish forest. Then they heard a little voice saying.
"You need to go quick."
“But where are we?"
“In the lobster cove," said a little voice.
"Who was that?"
"It doesn't matter. I have been trying to get out of this place for years and I have only gone half the way," he said. “But even that took a VERY long time. So hurry up and go or you will die.”
"I will take you with me."
"No it's fine. I will stay here to guard.
In a blink of an eye, Chez grabbed the little creature and ran as fast as she could. "Wait you’re my friend."
“Just leave me behind."
"No I won’t. I know what it feels like. I will take you to your home like real friends do."
"Thank you," said the little creature.
So they went off  and carried on their journey. Then they walked a few miles and  they approached the SHARK REEF!
The little creature said, "Where are we?"
"I don't know but we better get out of here," said Chez.
"I agree with you," said the little creature. So they started running and the two sharks said "Stop! You’re not going anywhere."
So then they swam after Chez but she was fast. So she held the creature in her hands and ran. A few miles later they got home. The little creature was safe. Chez met a boy mermaid and they got married.

A stroll to the beach
By Samantha Taylor (Year 5)

Once upon a time, a little boy named Tim went on holiday with his Mum and Dad. They went to a caravan in Aberporth.
One day it was lovely and sunny, so they decided to go for a stroll to the beach. There were lots of people there. Children were playing in the water, building sandcastles and playing with bats and balls and having lots of fun. Tim was walking through the sand barefoot, kicking it up as he went along. He also was picking up some pretty shells.
His Mum and Dad decided to go walking along the coastal path. As they did they looked out to sea. They could see some dolphins swimming and jumping in and out of the water. It was a lovely sight to see. They walked along the coastal path until they reached Cwmtudu, a small cove and beach.
There were rocks on both sides of the cove and a crowd of people all looking towards the rocks on one side. They could not get too near but they could see a family of seals on the rocks, two adults and two babies or pups. They took plenty of photos of some of the seals and the dolphins. They had a lovely time but it was soon time to start back along the path to Aberporth.

Before they got back to the caravan they had fish and chips. It had been a lovely day and they had had a lot of fun.

At the seaside
By Cerys Thomas and Year 3

It was a beautiful summer’s day so I decided to go to the seaside with the sun gleaming on me. I picked beautiful flowers and went swimming in the glistening sea.

I went to pick some more flowers and underneath the bed of blossoms lay an unusual orange flower. As I was about to pick the flower, it began to grow bigger and bigger. I tried to destroy it but it was too powerful.
I looked around and saw a pirate digging in the golden sand for treasure. I asked him kindly if he could chop the stem off. As soon as he had swung his sword, we saw that the strange flower had something shiny inside. Bursting out like a firework came a glittering rainbow that sparkled like icy snow.

We all watched the rainbow while sitting under a palm tree enjoying a delicious picnic.

A day at the seaside
By Olivia Morgan (Year 6)

“Wake up Neve, Mammy said she’ll take us to the beach today!” I exclaimed.
“Oh what? Really! Yay! We haven’t been to the seaside for a long time,” said Neve.
Me and Neve got dressed, brushed our teeth and washed our faces, just in time to go out. Me, my Mother and Neve started to walk to the beach. When we got there it was extremely hot. There was also an ice-cream shop there. We stopped for ice-cream and then me and Neve went in the sea and had a water fight. Then we dried off and made a little tennis pitch in the sand. We had brought some tennis racquets and a small tennis ball and started to play tennis. After, I won nearly all the games, we went for a walk around the beach. After, we were so exhausted that we all agreed that we needed some food and a drink. So we sat down and had food.
Me and my Mother had fish and chips. Neve doesn’t like fish, obviously, and she had burger and chips. When we finally gobbled our food all up, we finished the day and walked home just in time, because it started to rain, obviously, because we live in Wales. We all really enjoyed the day and wanted to go again.

A day at the seaside
By Ewan Alger-Palmer (Year 6)

One day there was a boy called Leon he lived with his brother Ewan, his mum and his dad.
His mother said" It's a lovely day why don't we go to the seaside" and he said "Yes". So he ran up the stairs and got his towel, his swimming trunks, his bucket, his spade and his sun glasses. As he was getting his things his mother was making the picnic to take to the seaside.
His mother called "Are you ready to go?"
Leon replied "Yes!" So off they went.
When they got to the seaside they found a nice spot on the beach, put down their towels and Leon made some sand castles with his bucket and spade. He was having so much fun. Next they went down to the sea to have a paddle in the sea but Leon did not like the cold water. So his mum said lets go and have our picnic.  They had their picnic, then went for a walk along the beach where he found some shells to take home and to put on his sand castle. It was a lovely day at the seaside.

Leon was getting tired so they decided it was time to go home. What a lovely fun day they had at the seaside. His mother read him a story and off to sleep he went, as he had enjoyed a busy day out.

The Sea
by Evan, Katie, Casey, Zaid, Morgan (Year 4)

One beautiful morning I woke up. I had a great idea to go on a mystical adventure. So I went to the snowy Mountains to explore. I saw the beautiful sea.
So I walked down the mountain to go to the sea to look at all the fish. I was soon there. I think I saw a mermaid. I saw a hermit crab crawling across the beach to find a shell.
“Wow! That is amazing. That looks COOL!” I said. Then I saw people walking across the coast. “Hey! Wow! Who are you people? What’s your name?”
“Bob and Tom.”
“Who are you?”
“I’m Steven.”
“You’re the first people I’ve seen around here ….except for my family.”
Just at that moment, a mermaid popped up from the sea.
“Hello, that’s our friend.”
“What’s her name?”
“Ella. Hello,” she said. “What’s your name?” Then her mum was calling her.
“Ella! Ella your food.” Ella’s mum called her, that’s Ella’s mum Layla and Steven her father. Then that minute, floating in the shimmering water was Marky and Alex.
“Hey, hello there!” Then the two whales appeared. “Hi Sam and Kelly!”
“Hello,” said Steven. “How are you?”
“We are whales.” That minute the starfish Becky and Chelsea, their best friends were there. That second, he remembered that he put a map in his bag. So Steve said goodbye and he rushed off.
“Where are you going Steven?”
“I am going on an adventure.”

He followed the map and there was a treasure map on it. He was amazed. He followed the treasure map and after two hours, he finally found the treasure.
“Wow!” he said. “That is so COOL! That is AMAZING! A magic pound. It was so shiny, I could not believe my eyes.”
I felt it. It was a magical pound and there was the golden treasure. He ran down to it and he tried to pull and pull. But it did not work. So he tried and tried, but it did not work. But he didn’t give up. He tried and tried over and over again. But it did not work. So he just waited and waited but nothing happened. So he made a wish because he saw a shooting star go past. He wished for a day that he could get the buried treasure. At that moment, he saw a light shining in his face. He wondered what it was. It felt like he was floating away up in the sky like a hot air balloon. He shut his eyes and thought he was so magical. Then the light got dimmer …………
Note from Mair Watts, Deputy Head:
A digital blip caused the group to lose part of their story – but they had worked so hard on it, I didn’t want to leave it out. Perhaps the readers could finish it themselves....
